It’s about to be a year since Kobe Bryant left us wondering, why did he go so soon? The wounds are still fresh, especially for his family. Kobe and Gianna died in a helicopter crash last year with seven others. The accident left everyone shattered, and many still can’t fathom the tragedy.
However, as another big event has come, his wife Vanessa Bryant, can’t help but include Kobe in it. Today is Kobe’s oldest daughter, Natalie Bryant’s 18th birthday, and Vanessa has shared some touching snaps of her daughter with some old pictures of Kobe.
In the series of posts that made it on Vanessa Bryant’s Instagram, the first one had a caption that Vanessa wrote on behalf of Kobe as well. With a beautiful black-and-white photo of Natalie, she wrote, “Dear Natalia, Happy Birthday! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of the young lady that you are.
“You have displayed so much strength and grace throughout the most difficult year of our lives. Thank you for stepping in to help me with your little sisters. You’re such an incredible big sister and a beautiful role model to so many people. Thank you for being kind, polite and gracious in everything that you do.”
It ended with, “You have no idea how happy and proud mommy and daddy are that you’re our daughter. We love you always and forever, forever and always. Happy 18th birthday to our firstborn, Natalia, our Principessa! Love always, Mommy, Daddy, Gigi, BB, and Koko.”
After a few more of her pictures, Vanessa posted one in which Kobe is holding Natalie when she was a baby. The caption read, “‘Daddy’s little princess, Natalia.”
Finally, there is one more picture of the three of them posing in LA’s Staples Center together with a caption that read, “We love you so much! Happy birthday Natalia!!!! Our first born.”
This comes right after Vanessa posted her journey through dealing with grief as Kobe and Gigi’s one year death anniversary inches closer. All this goes to show that the Lakers legend will never be forgotten and forever live in everyone’s hearts, whether it’s his family, teammates, or fans.
