Kobe Bryant and his death was the hardest thing to hit basketball over the last year. However, the sentimental love for Kobe has also been misused by a lot of people.

His passing led to many people trying to profit off his name by releasing unlicensed merchandise or stories in his name. People went from genuine tributes to blatant cash-grabs really quick.

It seems a particular CBD Oil company decided to falsify a story about Kobe endorsing the use of CBD for athletes. They wrote a whole fake story about how invested Kobe was in this CBD brand. The story was branded with the famous ‘PEOPLE’ Magazine logo to make it seem legitimate.

Vannessa Bryant attacked this on Instagram, asking people to be cautious of people stealing Kobe’s name for such use.

Using Kobe’s name like this is quite revolting. While there is a love for Kobe that many try to memorialize, this is a blatant move to make money. The makers just want to sell their product and are using Kobe’s name to help move the product.

Kobe Bryant and his passing deeply affected the entire world for obvious reasons. His impact on the sport and off the court was so immense that everyone wants to pay their tributes. However, there is a fine line in what paying tribute means and what using his name for profit means.

Many internet t-shirt sellers started selling merchandise with Kobe and Gianna Bryant sprawled over it. None of them took permission from the Bryant family and pushed it in the name of honoring Kobe.

This particular incident is even more sickening because the article genuinely reads like a promo. The complete intention of it was to sell the product and use Kobe’s name on it. The story they spin is also so suspicious. They directly reference his death and say that the one wish people had was that he give out CBD Oil for free?

This must have been hard for Vannessa to go through. Thankfully, she tackled it and cleared the name of everyone involved in this without their consent.
