The young stars from the latest draft class have their eyes set on LeBron James! Well, this is not something new to The King. Even at the age of 38, the NBA newbies consider James to be the benchmark. The youngsters were asked an intriguing question on draft day that has now gone viral. A few of the stars who answered were Victor Wembanyama, Jordan Hawkins, Brandon Miller, and Scoot Henderson. Surprisingly, most nof them had the same answer. LEBRON JAMES!

The Los Angeles Lakers forward needs to watch out for these youngsters in the upcoming season. Hopefully, the 4x NBA champion doesn’t make the big decision of retirement before giving a chance to these rookies. 

LeBron James is the target for the new draft class

While several NBA veterans are yet to outplay the 4x MVP, a new set of stars joined the long list. Last year, Grizzlies star Ja Morant had revealed his desire to dunk on James. Is getting the best of James a goal for many? Considering the answers from the new draft class, it looks like it. The newbies were questioned, “What NBA player do you want to dunk on?“

First pick Victor Wembanyama revealed, “Everyone. But it’s gonna feel special to dunk someday hopefully on LeBron because he’s been the icon of the league for so long.” Considering the 7’3 center’s wingspan, there is a high chance he can fulfill his desire. Well, Wembanyama is not the only one who wants to dunk on James.

9th pick Taylor Hendricks, 16th pick Keyonte George, 18th pick Jaime Jaquez Jr. and the 2nd pick Brandon Miller also have the same goal. Miller said, “It’s definitely Bron. You know? Why Not?”

There were a few more superstars who these rookies were looking forward to battling with. 

A few rookies want to get the best of two defensive superstars

While LeBron James was called out a lot, a few young stars wanted to dunk on the 2020 DPOY. 24th pick of the Sacramento Kings, Olivier-Maxence Prosper chose Giannis Antetokounmpo over James. The Greek Freak is a defensive monster and to be able to dunk over him will indeed be an achievement.

Another name mentioned was Anthony Davis. 30-year-old AD had several eye-pleasing blocks in the playoffs. It will definitely not be easy to dunk on the Lakers’ center.
