LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers suffered one of their worst losses of the season on Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers have started off the All-star break with two losses and this loss will definitely hurt them. And now, they are only two and a half games above the Trail Blazers for the final play-in spot.

And to make matters worse, it seems the Lakers fans are turning on the team. They weren’t impressed by the performance, especially in the third quarter, where they let them score 44 points. There was also a fan who was heckling the Lakers bench, who later got thrown out of the game as well.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers lose… AGAIN!!!

The Lakers hoped that they can get back to winning ways after the loss to their local rivals. The game was pretty even at the start as both teams exchanged leads. In the second quarter, however, the Pelicans started to pull away. They had an 11 point lead at the half.

And then all hell broke loose in the third. The Pelicans shot over 60% as they scored 44 points in the quarter. The third-half woes for the Lakers have been there all season long, and they just can’t seem to find an answer.

The Pelicans ended the quarter with a 30 point lead as the fans started turning on the Lakers. And then a fan started heckling the Lakers bench. The players took note of this and they let the security know. The fan was then removed from the arena, and he did not want to go willingly. He tried to put up a fight, but was quickly neutralized as he left the arena.

The Lakers could never recover from this as they lost 123-95. LeBron James had 32 points, but he also had 7 turnovers. There were also some boos heard for LeBron. The Lakers need to turn this around fast, or they risk even missing out on the play-in tournament. With Anthony Davis out for a month, the Lakers will need to play their hearts out, to remain in the play-in spots.
