VIDEO: Ja Morant Displays Full Range of Dance Moves While Celebrating His Sister’s Match Win

Everyone basketball fan in the world knows about the on-court talent of Ja Morant. But there is one talent of his that is not out there so much, and that is his dance moves. Morant has shown his dance skills several times. Morant did the ‘Griddy’ dance against a playoff home win against the Golden State Warriors. He has created a wave with his celebration skills.
Recently, Ja danced on the infamous ‘Whoop That Trick’ track at his sister’s AAU game. Teniya Morant is Ja’s sister; like him, she is a basketball player. She is an aspiring athlete and stands as tall as 5’7″. Morant watched his sister’s team win the AAU game and joined the celebrations.

Ja Morant led the Memphis Grizzlies to a successful campaign in the 2021-22 season. He won the Most Improved Player award and took the team to a second-seed finish. The ‘Whoop That Trick’ chant is one of the Memphis Grizzlies’ signature shouts. The entire arena and the players create an atmosphere with the chant that makes it difficult for the away teams to gain any momentum.

Morant did the same ‘Griddy’ after his sister won the AAU game. This was reminiscent of the 4-2 win that Morant and the Grizzlies had over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Morant also did the same celebration against the Warriors, although that ended in a loss for the Grizzles.
The chant is about being the underdog and having the hustle mentality, all of which are synonymous with the Memphis Grizzlies. Ja Morant’s ‘Griddy’ has become an internet sensation. Allen Davis, a native of Louisiana, created the Griddy dance in the middle of the 2010s after being inspired by the Nae Nae fad.

All her teammates gathered around Ja as he did the ‘Griddy’ and were taking pictures with him. He has become a star in his way, and the celebration has attained an iconic status with him. He averaged 27.4 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in 57 games in 2021-22.
