Brittney Griner has been detained by Russia for more than five months now. She was originally caught by officials at the Sheremetyevo Alexander S. Pushkin International Airport for carrying hash cartridges. They arrested her and kept her in prison. Many have come in support of the Phoenix Mercury player. The most recent being former Lakers player Robert Horry.
Horry has said that he wants Griner to come back and be safe among her family members. The former Laker said this on the “Big Shot Bob Pod” alongside Rob Jenners and Brandon Harper. Her detainment has become a hot-button issue among sports lovers in America.

Horry mentioned that there aren’t many places in the world where weed is legal except Canada, to which they laughed. Rob Jenners said that there is no way the US Government can unlodge anyone from a foreign judicial system, fair or unfair.
Then the question was put up whether the State Department would have taken more effort if it was someone like Stephen Curry or LeBron James. The 7 time NBA champ said, “I don’ think it would be any different. Everybody wants to say he has a bigger name. He is a male, you know. I don’t think so because Russia would say we got this guy for illegal weed.”
