The offensive onslaught from the Boston Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 3. The Warriors put up a good fight in the third period, but Ime Udoka’s squad survived the storm, with 3 of their players scoring above 20 points. In particular, though, it was a horrendous night for Draymond Green.

He labored throughout the ballgame, finishing with 2 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, before fouling out. But the reception he received from the unruly Boston crowd made his night much worse. During pregame introductions, Celtics supporters welcomed him to “Beantown” with a chorus of boisterous boos.

However, as the game progressed, the chorus morphed into a bombardment of NSFW shouts directed toward Draymond Green. While heckling is a common aspect of sports, the Boston Celtics crowd seemed to have outraged several people close to Green. One of those being his wife.

Draymond Green’s wife, Hazel Renee, was also in attendance, supporting the Golden State Warriors with?their children. The entire incident disgusted her so much that she wrote a lengthy Instagram story bashing the NBA and Celtics faithful.

“Tough defeat tonight, BUT in NO WAY, shape, or form, fans should be able to sing obscenities to the players! Aren?t they human? Is there anyone at your workplace telling you random things? The NBA has the audacity to have a comprehensive code of conduct in every venue about fans and their behavior and how they might be kicked out of a game or banned, but a whole crowd/section/numerous people can sing F ** k YOU DRAYMOND or call it B **** or MF ?! and nothing??”

“How?s that okay? Warriors fans would NEVER do this!! My kids were at the game tonight hearing that mess! Very DISGUSTING of you little Celtics fans. Shameful!” wrote Hazel Renee.

While Draymond’s wife was enraged, he was significantly less when asked about the cruel reception after the game.

The conduct of the crowd disturbed Hazel Renee at the TD Garden. However, this is an unpleasant reality. With the fervor and emotions of the NBA Finals, only the Warriors’ triumphs will hush the opposing crowd.

Fair to assume that Draymond Green will be targeted for the entire Finals by the Boston fan base. However, it’s up to him to put up big performances in the next game.

He struggled to find any groove tonight and fell victim to vocal jabs from the Boston crowd. Green will have to get out of the slump and be the ultimate glue guy he always has been.
