The Golden State Warriors lost Stephen Curry to an injury during their previous game with the Indiana Pacers. The team’s leading scorer got sidelined with an injury to his shoulder and was taken to the locker room before the game ended. Seeing Curry being escorted to the locker room was certainly a concerning sight for Warriors fans. But an injury update was given by the Warriors’ front office recently which might indicate his return sooner than expected.

After losing to the Pacers, the Warriors have lost three out of four games without Curry. In fact, they lost their last two games by 30-point margins to the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks respectively.

Though ‘The Chef’ will be missing out on the Christmas Day matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies, he is expected to return next month to the Warriors lineup. Till then, it is up to the rest of the squad to hold their ground.

The Grizzlies vs Warriors game will be a rematch of last year’s playoffs. Golden State had eliminated Ja Morant and co. from the playoffs in the conference semi-finals. The series went to six games, with the Warriors winning 4-2.

The Golden State Warriors already had a tough time winning games this season. And with the injury to the four-time NBA champion, it just makes things much worse off for them. Notably, however, Jordan Poole had a breakout game against the Toronto Raptors in Curry’s absence.
