It was a huge moment for the Golden State Warriors and their fans recently, as the Warriors finally won their first game of the season away from San Francisco’s Chase Center, after no less than eight consecutive losses. It was a tough game for the Warriors, especially against a team like the Houston Rockets.
As early as the first quarter, the Warriors gained an advantage over the Rockets. In the second quarter, the Warriors’ offense went cold, and the game started getting away from them. Consequently, they lost an 18-point advantage.

Fans were left in a state of despair after watching this, expecting a ninth loss on the road. The Warriors were having a hard time before Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson came to their rescue. As their game continued, the Splash Brothers provided another impressive performance, scoring a combined 18 points in the fourth quarter.
Thompson scored 41 points on 14-of-23 shooting. It was quite impressive to see him perform at one of his highest levels this season, especially after returning from a long injury layover. The Warriors managed to beat the Rockets in the end 127-120.
During the game, Stephen Curry watched on from the bench as Jonathan Kuminga scored a massive dunk. Curry reacted by slipping off his chair and sliding to the floor in shock and awe at the dunk. The rest of the Warriors’ bench got to their feet to appreciate Kuminga’s powerful move.

Aside from scoring 37 points, Curry also grabbed 6 rebounds, 15 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks in another stellar performance from the reigning Finals MVP. After the win over the Houston Rockets, the losing streak finally came to an end, and fans congratulated the team on its long-awaited victory away from home.
Stephen Curry leads the Golden State Warriors to victory
Not only did we see Curry’s performance, but we also saw his famous ‘Night-Night’ celebration. Back in the fall of 2022, this move attracted a great deal of attention from Golden State Warriors fans. After the game, Curry shared his thoughts.
“It didn’t sit well with us, our 0-8 record,” Curry admitted. “We had to scratch and claw to get this one, so to get that monkey off your back and feel good about yourselves outside of the Chase Center, it matters.”
