With tight competition in the Western Conference, the Dallas Mavericks have managed to find their spot in the top 8 for the time being. All thanks to their main man Luka Doncic. Doncic is dropping MVP numbers this season, trying his best to lift the team up. Fans believe Doncic’s teammates are not helping him on the court, as a recent stat showed, the Mavericks are winning only when the Slovenian guard drops 30 points or above.

A recent video of Luka Doncic showing his disappointment towards his new teammate is going viral on Twitter. Fans have started to assume this is the last year the 6’7″ guard will stay with the team, though he will be a free agent only in 2027

The Mavs made a few additions before the start of the season. The motive was to build a team around Doncic and help him win a championship. Although that is not the case at the moment. Although the team has stars like Spencer Dinwiddie, Christian Wood, and Tim Hardaway Jr., they are not able to get consistent wins.

McGee signed a three-year, $20 million contract right before the start of the season. Mavs fans had a lot of expectations for the team before the start of the season with the new additions. Fans are now excited to see Doncic in the All-Star game, as he made it to the starters pool of the Western Conference, shared by the NBA on Twitter.

Can the Dallas Mavericks win it all this season?

The Mavs might have an easy road to the playoffs, but not to the Finals. Luka Doncic stands as the sole performer, averaging a season-high 33.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 8.6 assists. The Mavs currently have a 25-24 record as they stand as the 6th seed in the Western Conference.

The team lost their last two games to the Los Angeles Clippers and the Washington Wizards. Doncic’s 41-point game was not enough for the team to get past the Wizards. Although the Slovenian guard has a great playoff experience, without proper support from his teammates, the Mavs might fumble in the post-season.
