NBA superstar LeBron James once made former President Barack Obama and current President Joe Biden look at him in awe. It was during an exhibition game in 2012 between USA and Brazil to prepare for the London Olympics. When James threw down the monstrous dunk, Obama and Biden stared at each other amazed. Barack Obama’s love for the game of basketball is no secret. Matter of fact, he is pretty good at it too.

Obama famously needed 12 stitches on his lips in 2010 after getting hit by an elbow while playing basketball. “After being inadvertently hit with an opposing player’s elbow in the lip while playing basketball with friends and family, the president received 12 stitches today administered by the White House medical unit,” Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs said in a statement.

President Joe Biden is also a huge basketball fan much like Obama and attends basketball games now and then. Furthermore, he was a standout football player during his school years. After preparing for the London Olympics, the national team landed in London as the favorites to win the gold medal.

In the 2004 Greece Olympics, the USA national team had one of their worst outings. While the women’s team won the gold medal, the men’s team didn’t even reach the final. LeBron James and company had to settle for the bronze medal. And the most shocking thing is, that the team had big names like James, Allen Iverson, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Tim Duncan, and Stephon Marbury playing at the time. Even though James, Wade, and Carmelo were relatively less experienced, they were superstars of the league. And their inability to clinch the gold medal was shocking.

However, the USA won with a scoreline of 107-100.
