A battle of the East went through with the Milwaukee Bucks facing the Brooklyn Nets. Two of the top MVP candidates in Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo went right at one another in a showdown. The defending champions dominated the game. However, after getting LeBron James earlier, Nic Claxton had another highlight as he dunked over Giannis.

Both the Bucks and Nets are two of the top three teams in the Eastern Conference. Led by MVP candidates, they have been impressive this season. These two had one of the best series last year when they went to seven games with the Bucks coming out on top. Facing off for the second time this year, the Bucks took care of things in a convincing fashion yet again.

However, the highlight for the Nets came in from Nic Claxton, who had yet another iconic poster dunk getting the ‘Greek Freak’ this time.

The Bucks came into the Barclays Center and snapped their losing team to one of the top teams in the NBA. Despite trailing in the fourth, the Nets got a burst of energy after Claxton posterized Giannis in a great sequence. The young center dunked over the two-time MVP off a Kevin Durant feed and then made a great defensive play on him the very next play.

However, the lead was too much for the Nets to overcome. The Bucks came crashing in and attacked the Brooklyn side with every possession. Unsurprisingly, Giannis Antetokounmpo starred with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Khris Middleton also scored 20 points to go with 5 assists, including 15 points in the third quarter alone. Bobby Portis continues his impressive season, adding 25 points to go with 12 rebounds. An all round team effort got the job done as the Bucks are now 2-0 against the Nets for the season.

Kevin Durant showed out in the MVP showdown as well. He ended the game with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. However, the supporting cast struggled to get things going. James Harden was able to add just 16 points to the mix along with 7 assists. Patty Mills couldn’t find his shooting touch going 1-8 from three. It was a game to learn from for Brooklyn who have now allowed over 120 points in back to back games.
