Adam Sandler embraces Anthony Edwards court-side

20-year-old star Anthony Edwards has been a revelation for the Wolves. He is a potent forward, and one for the future. Before the game commenced, the players were busy warming up. Standing on the sidelines, was none other than 9-time People’s Choice Awards winning actor Adam Sandler. He watched as the players geared up for the crunch game, and greeted them as well.

The ‘Grown Ups’ lead actor, a fan of the NBA, met some of the Timberwolves players. One of them, was the 2021 NBA All-Rookie First Team member himself. As Edwards approached him, the duo exchanged some words. In addition, Sandler also embraced the youngster, following which he smiled and walked off. It was a lovely gesture from the Hollywood superstar. Have a look.

Starting the season as title contenders, the Lakers have managed to tarnish their image. It has been a forgetful start to the campaign, as the side has struggled to take control of games. Friday was no different, as Patrick Beverley and co. romped to a thumping victory away from home. Despite starting strong with a 26-19 first quarter, Frank Vogel’s men couldn’t keep up the pace. Anthony Davis was the saving grace in an otherwise abysmal attacking display.

For the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns resumed normal proceedings. He ran riot of a disorganized Lakers defense, scoring 29 points on the night. Aiding him throughout the game, were guard duo of D’Angelo Russell and Pat Beverley. The latter of the two even managed to ruffle some feathers, and created some banter with the Lakers bench. In the end, his side comfortably prevailed 107-83.

Perhaps Adam Sandler proved to be Minnesota’s lucky charm after all. Can Edwards and his senior stars rescue their season after a rough start? Meanwhile, can the Lakers climb out of their rut? Let’s wait and watch!
