Paul George and the LA Clippers are facing off against Donovan Mitchell led Utah Jazz in game 6 of the second round series of the playoffs. With them leading the series 3-2 against Utah, the Clippers have a great opportunity to close this series and move ahead to the Conference Finals.

In the start of the game, there was no separating the Jazz and the Clippers. With both the teams making shots, the game looked like it was going to be a slugfest with Utah leading the game 33-31. But the Jazz came out all guns blazing in the second quarter.

Jordan Clarkson who rarely featured in the first quarter, started to heat up in the second quarter. Be it him driving to the lane or shooting three pointers, the sixth man of the Year put on a show.

Scoring a whooping 21 points in the quarter itself, the Jazz outscored the Clippers 39-19 in the second quarter and took a massive 22 point lead in the half. But the Clippers have rallied a massive comeback in the third quarter. Cutting down Jazz’ lead to only 3 points, this Clippers and Jazz matchup has become an instant classic.

Donovan Mitchell hits logo three in LA Clippers vs Utah Jazz game 6

While the Jazz see players like Jordan Clarkson have some excellent performances tonight, their standout performer by far is Donovan Mitchell. After struggling in game 5 where Mitchell was seen hobbling during the game, the Jazz superstar is finally looking much more agile and quick on the floor and has led the scoring for Jazz so far.

Scoring 22 points in the first half itself, the 24-year-old has been in red-hot form so far. Coming off of the second quarter break, Mitchell continued his barrage from the perimeter in the third as he took a magnificent step back jumper from the logo in the very first possession of the quarter.

With the three pointer, the Jazz increased their lead to a game high 25 points. But ever since then, the Jazz have been pretty dismal. Shooting inefficiently from the floor, the Jazz have looked clueless in both ends of the floor.

The Clippers meanwhile have found an unlikely hero in this game in Terrence Mann. Mann who scored only 13 points in the first 4 games of the series has scored a whooping 34 points so far and is red-hot in the offensive end.

With some excellent defending and efficient offense, the Jazz see their lead cut to 3 points only and given the form the Clippers are showing right now, the Jazz need to find some answers quickly. Will the Jazz force a game 7 or will the Clippers finally make it to the Western Conference Finals?
