It feels like forever since we last saw one of the ‘Splash Brothers’ doing what he does best, and that’s leading the Golden State Warriors to glory. Without Klay Thompson, there would be no dynasty that would have held off LeBron James long enough to add more rings to his resume. So, because of losing Klay to injuries that have prevented his return to the court for two seasons now, the Warriors have suffered greatly.

But, it’s beginning to look like the worst might be over. The hope is that Klay will be back to play alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green in the upcoming season. Of course, it might not be as immediate as the beginning of the regular season, but he will be eased into it. With Dubs fans holding their breath for that to happen, all they have seen so far are a few sneak peeks of him training or recording himself on his boat.

After suffering from an ACL back in 2019 while playing against the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals, Klay hasn’t graced the hardwood floor. The Warriors spiralled into a downward trajectory afterwards, unable to even make it to the playoffs.

But another new video of Klay is making fans feel more optimistic about his return. In the video, he is seen pulling off some martial art moves that made everyone feel that he is emulating the Great Bruce Lee by the Bay. Klay has never hidden his goofy behaviour from fans before and it doesn’t seem like he will start anytime soon.

This isn’t the first time Klay has made it evident that he thinks very highly of Bruce Lee. Last year, the three-time All-Star paid homage to the legend by introducing the Bruce Lee themed colourway for his Anta KT6 signature sneakers.

Lee, who is a role model for many athletes, has inspired many other NBA players like Kobe Bryant and Kyrie Irving to also don shoes themed around him.

The Golden State Warriors have started their journey into the 2021-22 season after playing the preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers, a game that they won 121-107. This will definitely help with their morale for a season in which they have plenty to prove.

A good start is always a big boost in the right direction. However, Klay Thompson’s return will still be vital in their quest to do that. Until then, we have to make do with clips of him that keep us all entertained.
