An NBA panel chose the NBA 75th-anniversary team to commemorate the 75th-anniversary of the founding of the National Basketball Association. The panel left Thompson out from the team in a controversial move. This came as a surprise to many Warriors fans, including Thompson himself. He recently voiced his frustration at not being included in the legendary team. He conceded that his absence from the team fueled his ambition.
Thompson said, “Now, it’s time for me to get back on the court and prove ’em why I should be on that list. … I needed that fuel for the fire.”
