LeBron James and the LA Lakers face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. This marks their franchise legend LBJ’s first game back in Cleveland since November 2018. Can LeBron lead the Lakers past his former team?
Both sides are fighting neck to neck as the Lakers are leading the game at halftime by seven points. So far, LeBron James has put on a show while scoring 23 of the Lakers’ 65 points in the first two quarters. However, the most exciting moment in the fixture came right before the game started.
LBJ brought back his signature chalk toss pre-game ritual vs his former team. Over the years, fans have become accustomed to Bron’s iconic chalk toss ritual. However, since joining the purple and gold, this celebration has been fading away.

Following this, LeBron went on an insane scoring streak, which ended with the Lakers leading the game 34-23. This lead was courtesy of their superstar James as he went 4-of-5 from the deep in the first quarter!

Despite turning 36-years-old, LeBron is yet to show any significant signs of decline. In fact, he seems to have gotten even better. James has been shooting consistently from the three-point line, which was a major flaw in his game.
Furthermore, thanks to LeBron’s heroics, the Lakers have the best record in the league so far. If he and the Lakers can maintain this form for the entire season, it is hard to see any other player beating LBJ in the MVP race.
