The Chicago Bulls matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers has come after a week of waiting for things to get a little better. Both teams have been hit quite hard because of the outbreaks and many of their players have entered the league’s health and safety protocols. So, the assumption was that their face-off won’t be anything more than dud, but LeBron James always finds a way to keep things entertaining.

The last game that the Chicago Bulls played was against the Miami Heat on December 11. But after that, there were so many players ruled out from playing that two of their games after that were postponed. The Lakers aren’t facing anything different. Apart from their players being the victims of the outbreak, they also had Anthony Davis spraining the MCL in his knee, which has him out for four weeks at least.
As expected, the two teams’ matchup wasn’t anywhere as intriguing as it would have been if they were in a healthy state. With the third quarter in full force, the Lakers and Bulls have managed to keep each other close. However, nothing beats LeBron James still somehow finding his way to get the ball.
With three minutes left in the second quarter, Chicago was up by 52-46. Just outside the paint, Bron found himself with the ball but was being guarded by former teammate Alex Caruso. In an attempt to get the ball to Carmelo Anthony waiting at the three-point line, he passed the ball which hit Russell Westbrook‘s foot, and went out of the court. But he somehow convinced the refs that it hit Lonzo Ball instead.

Say what you will, but Bron has been carrying the team throughout this game. Right behind him on the scoreboard are Melo, Russ, and Isaiah Thomas. However, their opponents are no less. They have four out of their five starters already in double figures.

In fact, till the third quarter, the game has been going nothing but head to head. The fourth quarter will be the game changer. And if the Lakers want to grab this vital victory, they have to play with the motto do or die in their mind.
