Shaquille O’Neal is a basketball legend with 4 championship wins and is a 15 times NBA All-Star. Many know him as only a basketball legend, but Shaq is a man of various talents. He has been a part of TNT after retiring and has made appearances in many movies.

Shaq’s love for music and DJ is pretty well known as he famously uploaded a video of him performing for his sons last year as DJ Diesel. DJ Diesel made his latest appearance at Louisiana State University as the crowd went wild with Shaq’s appearance.

Shaquille O’Neal as DJ Diesel:

DJ Diesel is not your regular next-door DJ. He has performed in Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza and was all geared up for a tour until the pandemic kicked in. DJ Diesel made his appearance in Tomorrowland 2019 with the crowd in a frenzy, who were excited to see the basketball legend.

I always tell people there are two things that bring people together: sports and music,” Shaquille O’Neal said before a concert according to Forbes.

O’Neal tries to have as much fun as possible when he is behind a turntable. In videos of his performances, you can always see Shaq having fun and the crowd matching his energy.

“For me, it’s like…we have that adrenaline rush when it comes to rocking crowds. When you go to festivals, they’re there to just see a great performance. I just give them great music, with the way I put my blends and mixes together”, O’Neal mentioned in his Beats 1 interview.

Shaq’s history with music:

O’Neal played in gigs to earn money throughout his college life and has had a long history with music. He made his debut with ‘Shaq Diesel’ in 1993 and he continued making music throughout the ’90s. Shaq Diesel was labeled platinum, and he released his second album shortly after.

“Shaq Fu-Da Return” was released in 1994 which consisted of a feature by the Wu-Tang Clan.”You Can’t Stop The Reign” was his third feature album released in 1996 with a feature by Notorious B.I.G which was a commercial success.

Shaq released his last album “Respect” in 1998 and ended his rap career. This goes on to show how Shaq excelled in all fields during his life.
