WATCH: Madison Square Garden Erupts As Knicks’ Evan Fournier Leaves The Defender Dancing vs Timberwolves

The New York Knicks have had an underwhelming run so far this season. After a successful campaign last year, they have failed to follow it up. They are just at .500 as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. While the game has been close mostly, Evan Fournier dazzled the fans as he had his defender lost.

He had an impressive step-back three after making his defender dance around. The Madison Square Garden couldn’t contain themselves after the French star pulled off the nasty move.

Fournier is the new signing for the Knicks this season. After the playoff berth last year, the Knicks decided to make some big moves. They bought in Fournier as well as Kemba Walker to strengthen their roster. While the move with Walker didn’t work out, Fournier is giving them decent help. Being the hot hand against the Timberwolves, he went into his bag to hit a mean triple.

Fournier is an elite shooter and has proved himself on multiple occasions. Hence, the Knicks found him in the corner. However, Fournier faked the shot and made gave the defender a hesitation. He took one step forward and stepped right back. This had the defender dancing all over the floor as an open Fournier knocked down the three. MSG erupted right away as he pulled off the play.

While Fournier hasn’t been a consistent star, he sure has his moments. And when the star is hot, it is really tough to stop him from getting buckets. Likewise, he has been red hot against the Timberwolves, which has helped the Knicks keep the game close.

After being down by 10 at the half, the Knicks stepped it up in the third quarter. Led by Fournier, the Knicks led a dominating quarter to take a 5 lead. Fournier has 26 points while shooting 10-12 from the floor. He took over and hit shot after shot to give Knicks a huge edge going into the fourth quarter.

RJ Barrett has added 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists to the mix. All-Star Julius Randle has had an all-round game so far. He has tallied 16 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks for the Knicks. There is still a quarter left tp play with both teams putting in a fighting effort.
