Recently, when the Golden State Warriors took on the New York Knicks, Curry did his usual stuff. He hit an incredible three-pointer that sent the entire arena, including his mother, Sonya, into a frenzy.

The Golden State Warriors‘ start to the season has not been as expected. The defending champions have had a slow start as they are currently 7-9 after 16 games.

However, the Warriors looked back to their best against the New York Knicks. They breezed past the Knicks with a 111-101 win with Curry and Klay Thompson looking their very best.

Stephen Curry had 24 points and 10 assists while Thompson added 20 points. Andrew Wiggins had his fair share with 20 points and 7 rebounds. On the other hand, Julius Randle of the Knicks rallied 20 points and 7 rebounds in a losing effort. (Source: ESPN)

In his usual Steph Curry style, the Dubs superstar knocked down an impressive three-pointer which sent the arena buzzing. Interestingly enough, Steph’s mother, Sonya was also in attendance. Similar to the rest of the crowd, she seemed enthralled after Curry’s three-pointer.

Sonya and Dell Curry had an ugly end to their marriage last. After being married for quite some time, the two filed for a divorce last year with cheating and infidelity accusations coming from both sides.

Interestingly enough, when Stephen Curry broke the record for having the most number of three-pointers in 2021, both were in attendance. However, the two were not together.

Dell sat courtside while Sonya was somewhere else in the crowd. When Steph broke the record, he received a hug from his father and Ray Allen, whose record he broke. The four-time NBA champion currently has 3,194 three-pointers to his name.
