The Clippers met the Phoenix Suns in their away game with no signs of pressure whatsoever. A hammer from Reggie Jackson, a jumper from Marcus Morris, a combined team effort in the beginning and the next thing on the board was a 20-5 lead.

It all started with an early Patrick Beverley steal of Chris Paul that ended up in a massive turnover dunk. Mook was all over the place which marked a thrilling start to the game. However, it was Devin Booker from the other end who kept the home team in the game.

Marcus Morris Sr went for a flawless 6/6 in just 7 minutes and garnered 13 quick points. In the first nine minutes, six of the Clippers were off-the-mark and they looked pretty much under control. But that did not continue as expected and the Suns made a commendable comeback, all thanks to Booker.

By halftime, the Suns made it a seven-point game with the help of a buzzer-beater from Book. It was phenomenal how he transfered his sprinting weight on his right foot and pivot it right there to trick a flying Reggie Jackson. Take a look at this mindblowing shot –

What were the highlights of the game?

Paul George, as has been the case for a handful games now, made a slow start. He went 1/3 and endured two early turnovers to begin the game and perhaps that’s why Ty Lue called him for rest with 3:11 remaining in Q1. This helped the Suns mark a 9-0 run in the middle of Q1 and get back into the game. Later in Q2, as Chris Paul restarted proceedings with the reserves, the Suns enjoyed a fitting 12-0 run. That helped them get close to the Clippers’ crazy offensive run.

The LA-based franchise depended heavily on midpost expertise of Marcus Morris while also counting on DeMarcus Cousins off the bench. Prior to Q3, it seemed the Clippers could take the game. But there still stood chaces for them to choke in the second half.
