The Los Angeles Lakers have developed intense rivalries with other NBA franchises over the years. However, only Boston Celtics have managed to match the franchise’s tremendous success in the NBA. The franchise has also maintained the high quality of their rosters signing NBA stars to fit their profiles. A senior Lakers star recently attempted to enrage Lakers’ opponent’s fans.

Lakers veteran Rajon Rondo took shots at the Dallas Mavericks’ fans in a recent game. Rondo reacted to rookie Austin Reaves’ game winning shot for the franchise over the Mavericks. The shot guaranteed Los Angeles the victory, with a video showing Rondo making a hand gesture signifying ‘goodbye’ towards the Mavericks fans.

Both Reaves and Rondo joined the Lakers in August 2021. The franchise eventually signed Reaves as a rookie to an NBA standard contract in September. However, this is not Rondo’s first spell playing for the franchise. Rondo initially played for the franchise between 2018 to 2020.

Rondo has even donned the jersey of Lakers’ city rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers. He made his debut for the Clippers against the Lakers. The Clippers recorded a 104–86 victory over their rivals. Rondo scored two points and recorded three assists in 13 minutes in that game.

The Lakers have won 17 NBA titles over the course of their history in the league. They won their most recent title in 2020, with Frank Vogel as their head coach. LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, and some other NBA stars form a part of the franchise’s roster.
