The Golden State Warriors have not had the best start to their 2021 campaign, but their leader Steph Curry is doing everything in his power to restore the glory days. He showed glimpses of his aggressive mindset when the Warriors took on the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. 

The Warriors were tormented by road games early on in the season. However, they faced a blowout defeat against the Blazers on Friday which marked the start of a seven-game home advantage for the Bay Team. 

The Warriors were scheduled to take on the Blazers in back-to-back games, and Steph Curry began the second fixture in emphatic fashion and silenced his critics.

Steph Curry has a point to prove this season as he’s without Klay Thompson by his side. The burden of carrying the Warriors has solely fallen on Curry and he’s finding it hard to guide a team of young talents to successive victories.

But it is just a matter of time before Golden State gets into the groove and starts posting wins. Steph Curry needs to be more aggressive on the court and that’s exactly what he did in the first quarter against the Blazers. 

Curry put up a splendid first-quarter performance and notched up the points with his brilliance. The two-time MVP made some splendid shots during his scoring spree and one of them included an incredible three-pointer over Damian Lillard.

Before posting a lethal three against his fierce rival, Curry showcased just how good he is by sending Robert Covington for a ride with his impressive handles. At the end of the quarter, Curry had 21 points from 7-11 shooting!

Does Curry require some time to make the Warriors great once again?  

The hottest topic on the internet is about how Steph Curry is unable to post successive victories with the Golden State Warriors. Of course, they’re not the team they once were, but fans expect a certain amount of quality when the team takes to the court. 

Though their roster is filled with talent, Golden State is yet to cement itself as a major playoff contender. Now, all the blame is being piled on Curry for his inability to lead the team, and it is being said that it’s high time that the two-time MVP prove his worth as an individual leader.

The likes of Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. aren’t really firing big and that’s deterring the team’s confidence at the moment. On one hand, Curry is trying to pull off a miracle by working hard on both ends of the court, but the Warriors haven’t really gelled as a unit. 

Steve Kerr’s team boasts several impressive stars, but they aren’t finding success as a whole. Maybe, they require even longer to get into the groove and start posting victories.

One should be aware that the Warriors were once back-to-back champions and that they’re very much capable of pulling themselves out of where they are at the moment.
