Cade Cunningham displays dominance over Jalen Green

In almost every draft class, there are two players at least, who are constantly compared to one another. Something similar happened to that of Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green. Even before entering the NBA, they were pitted against each other to get drafted as the No. 1 pick. While Cade always seemed like the Detroit Pistons‘ obvious choice, Green was always in the mix until it became official.

However, Cade landed up exactly where it was predicted, at No. 1 and Green ended up with the Houston Rockets. But till then, the damage was done. As if, they were destined to draw comparisons to each other from now on. And with their second game in the Summer League, it hasn’t stopped either.

The Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets are playing against each other on the second day of the League. But of course, all eyes were on Cade and Green trying to one-up each other. With the Rockets leading by 64-54, well into the third quarter, the Piston’s new addition seems to be outshining Green. Even though Cade’s looking great in this game, his debut loss against Oklahoma City Thunder wasn’t up to the mark. He was only able to add a meagre 12 points to the scoreboard, but Jalen Green’s debut was the polar opposite.

In fact, he ended up finishing the night with 23 points, 5 rebounds and going 44.4% from downtime, while also being the lead scorer for the Rockets. The game ended with the Cleveland Cavaliers on the losing end of the spectrum, and Green leaving his first impressive impact.
