Back in the 2019-2020 season, the Los Angeles Lakers were arguably the best team in the league. They had an unstoppable duo in LeBron James and Anthony Davis and an excellent group of veterans like JaVale McGee, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, and Danny Green. Their chemistry that season was off the charts and they had a lot of fun playing together.

That team had an identity – defend for your lives and outwork any team. They were arguably the best defensive team that year, and their offense was really good when it mattered the most. Apart from that, they had each other’s backs, and they played with a chip on their shoulder.

Off the court, the team meshed very well, and they used to stay together at all times. The management also had several team-building activities and in one of them, they had a world-class magician come and blow their minds.

David Blaine is an American illusionist, endurance artist, and extreme performer and he holds several world records in his name. Once he performed for the Lakers and that left the entire squad mind blown.

In the first trick, Blaine asked Davis to pick a card out of a deck and sign it. He chose a card and showed it to the camera. He was then asked to sign it and put it back on the deck. Then Blaine asked AD and LeBron to hold his hands and asked AD to eliminate a suite altogether. This goes on until only hearts remained and Blaine then showed the card AD signed. Everyone was in disbelief, as the cards just disappeared.

In the next trick, the entire team was in the conference room and Rondo was asked to choose a card from a deck. He did so and Blaine asked him to place it back in the deck. Then he asked him to remove one card and two cards and so forth.

Then, he said that the card was not in the deck as it has traveled across the room and is behind his watch now. Rondo went on to check and, to everyone’s amusement, the card was actually there. Everyone in the room was shocked, and they praised David Blaine for his insane skills.
