Draymond Green has prompted the NBA world to make him the subject of scrutiny all over the Internet after this recent incident. On October 5 2022, Green got involved in a physical spat with one of his Golden State Warriors teammates, Jordan Poole. However, this is not the first time Green was involved in an altercation with a fellow NBA player. The Warriors player got involved in a brawl a few years ago. On July 18, 2018, Green was reportedly punched by former Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson at a nightclub.

Draymond Green has yet again managed to make it to the headlines. The last time Green was all over the news was probably when he married the love of his life on August 14,2022. It hasn’t been even two months and things are already looking bleak for the NBA player. While the newly married couple is seemingly doing great, Green recently got into trouble with his team for hitting Jordan Poole.

In a leaked video, the Warriors players were in their practice session when Green advanced towards Poole. The latter pushed Green when he approached him after a verbal disagreement. In retaliation, Green hit Poole hard across his face. He was then immediately separated by his teammates and the staffs present in the session.

Green has reportedly apologized to the team in the presence of the coaches. Furthermore, disciplinary actions will supposedly be taken against the Dubs star.

Draymond Green got involved in altercation with Tristan Thompson back in 2018

While the situation in the Golden State Warriors team seems to have been handled well, this was not Draymond Green’s first physical altercation. The tension between Green and former Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson reportedly started during the NBA season 2017-18 Finals. Thompson was benched during Game 1 against the Warriors in the 2018 NBA Finals. While Thompson was walking out of the court, he and Green had a minor exchange, after which Thompson threw the basketball in the latter’s face. Furthermore, the four-time NBA Champion indirectly called out to Thompson when he told the reporters that he could meet the former Cavaliers player any day in the streets.

Fast forward to a month after the season Finals, both Green and Thompson were invited to a private party at a nightclub in LA. According to BOSSIP, Green reportedly walked up to Thompson and apologized to him for what happened at the Finals. However, Thompson was apparently not ready to accept his apology. When Green tried persuading Thompson, the latter lost his cool and reportedly struck Green. The duo had to be separated by fellow NBA players like LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
