After an abysmal 2019-20 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors are looking to make it all the way back to the NBA Finals this year. Although the Dubs didn’t have the best of starts to the season, the return of Draymond Green has rejuvenated their morale.

Speaking of the energetic defensive anchor, Green recently shared a story about himself, Steph Curry, Steve Kerr, and Drake. In fact, coach Kerr talked about the same a few weeks ago, prior to their matchup against the Toronto Raptors.

While Kerr jokingly shared his side of the story, Green revealed that wasn’t the case when the incident took place. According to “The Score”, Green said:

“We definitely all got fined. Drake was definitely at fault because we were standing in the parking lot for an hour after the game, just talking. Then we realized, oh shoot, we have a plane to catch. Ironically, he was heading to L.A. too, so he just hopped on the plane with us. But it wasn’t good.”

The popular rapper even referred to this story in his track “Free Smoke“, which was released in 2017.

“Steve Kerr is making light of it now, but he was pissed off. Really pissed off. And if I’m not mistaken, I think we got our a** kicked the next day,” Green added.

Steve Kerr usually keeps his calm around the team. However, as Green mentioned, at that instant, Kerr lost his cool and berated him and Curry. Although Kerr was mad at the two stars at the time, it has now become something that the three of them joke about.
