Rodman was different. He hated money. Reports suggest that Rodman would fly down to Vegas just to lose money and feel normal again. But this didn’t stop the dollars from making their way into his bank account.

Dennis Rodman and the excavation business 

Once it so happened that Rodman went missing for four weeks. However, this was not from his duties and responsibilities on-court. He was missing from his business. His employees hadn’t seen him. It was simple, everyone was on ‘the Rodman Hunt’

Rodman Excavation Inc. started in 1990. Two of Rodman’s friends, Barry Rich and Rod Vilhauer from Frisco, wanted to start an excavation company. They looked to Rodman for an investment. Despite his peers advising him against it, Dennis Rodman invested a sum total of 20,000 USD. The company was named Rodman Excavation.

The company started small and grew in numbers. In 1995, they had crossed over $14 million in sales, and Dennis Rodman received a return of 200% on his initial installment. The big bucks continued to flow.

Financial troubles surface

However, the good times didn’t last forever. In 2010, the company laid off all 242 employees and closed permanently. According to a report, the company’s plan to survive fell through, forcing them to eventually close down.

Dennis Rodman’s net worth has suffered since the 90s. In the late 90s, Rodman’s net worth was around 27 million dollars. But now it is at $500,000. Rodman also lost money when he fell victim to fraudulent activity executed by his financial advisor, Peggy Ann Fulford.
