The drama around James Harden and his antics to get a trade are over. However, his entry into the Brooklyn Nets created a lot of mixed emotions. Some believe that this is the perfect fit for Harden, as he deserves to be in a team that can be a title contender. But there is also a doubt about how efficient so many ball-dominant players will be together. Another worry is for the Lakers’ fans who think this trade might cost them a second consecutive title.

Jared Dudley shows makes a bold prediction

When the trade took place, we know what the NBA Twitter world was thinking. But what about the Lakers themselves? In conversation with his former teammate Jared Dudley, Danny Green asked him about the team’s response to the Harden trade.

“You see it, you gotta respect it because we just expedited the trade the way we beat Houston down so bad,” he stated. Dudley further talked about James Harden‘s harsh comments about the Rockets being beyond repair after their loss to them. He also mentioned how having an audience played a huge role in getting them their win against Houston that night.

He then made a prediction of his own and said, “We know what Kyrie and KD brings. I believe that they will be there in the finals, that’s me personally. I just think they have so much talent.” However, he also said that he can never be sure as he had predicted the same for the Bucks last time. “But man, I can’t wait to play them. I want to see it,” he finally confessed.

The Lakers or the Brooklyn Nets?

Although the Lakers hold a better record in their conference, the Nets aren’t that far behind either. Brooklyn is standing fourth in the East with a 12-8 record, whereas the Lakers are second in the West with a 14-5 record.

A lot of the season is still left and this could all change. But there is one thing that the Lakers have and the Nets don’t- consistency. Even with Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and Harden, they still have lost to a team like the Cleveland Cavaliers. The only benefit of the doubt can be that they need some more time to develop the much-needed chemistry.

The Nets vs the Lakers would be the battle of the season. Who do you think will dominate and take this victory home?
