Tuesday proved to be a big day in the Curry household as Sydel Curry Lee, sister of NBA superstar Stephen Curry, and her husband, Phoenix Suns guard Damion Lee, made a massive announcement on Instagram. The couple tied the knot at a time when the Suns guard was starting his NBA career and they have been going strong ever since. Their recent life update drew reactions from Ayesha Curry, Draymond Green‘s wife, a former Warriors player, and many others as they flooded the comments section to congratulate the couple.

Lee and Sydel have gone through a lot of ups and downs in their married life so far. The couple unsuccessfully tried to have a baby multiple times over the years. After eight months of trying naturally, she finally became pregnant, but unfortunately miscarried. The couple was finally blessed with a child in November 2021, five months after visiting IVF. And now, they announced on social media that they are expecting their second child.

Both of them recently took to Instagram and announced that they are being blessed with another child through a clip. The caption of her post read, “August 2023 (heart emoji) For this child we have prayed!”

The clip shared by her revealed both of them, along with their son, Daxon Wardell-Xavier Lee, smiling and embracing each other. Both of them went through a difficult period after their marriage and had to wait for a couple of years to be blessed with a baby. Now they are just a few months away from seeing the face of their second child.

This news received an outpouring of love from Ayesha Curry, Juan Toscano Anderson, Draymond Green’s wife, and other notable stars as soon as it started circulating on social media. The four-time NBA champion’s wife expressed her feelings through a string of smiling faces with heart-eyes emojis. Green’s wife, Hazel Renee conveyed her feelings through a string of party popper emojis. Toscano-Anderson reacted to Sydel’s post with a string of black heart emojis and wrote a line in the comment section of the Suns guard’s post. The 2022 NBA champion wrote, “Ima be on my Mike Lowrey when it’s time for prom”

Stanford Cardinal women’s basketball team player, Cameron Brink commented, “I’m sobbing.” Moreover, she also complimented their son’s smile in another comment. Khadeen Ellis, the wife of actor and former NFL player, Devale Ellis, also shared a few words in light of their post. She wrote, “Theeeee sweetest announcement! My heart is exploding for you Sydel!
