As per recent photos tweeted by the Phoenix Mercury, Brittney Griner is finally back on the court to take part in team practices with an entirely new look. In contrast to Griner’s long dreadlocks, the 2014 WNBA was seen sporting a buzz cut.? While Griner’s fans were happy about the progress she has made since she returned to US soil, Griner’s new haircut also prompted several fans to draw similarities between her and two NBA athletes.

Twitterati mostly compared the 8x WNBA All-Star to Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons and Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma. Given that both the players have a similar hairstyle, the comments sections were filled with similar replies left by fans.

It has been over two months since Brittney Griner was released from Russia in exchange for arms dealer Viktor Bout. Since then, Griner has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported her and actively spoke for US citizens, including Paul Whelan, who are currently serving time in different countries.
