The Cavs pulled the trigger for Mitchell’s trade as they were desperate to get back to the top. They sent Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, Ochair Agbaji, three first-round picks, and two pick swaps. All for the three-time all-star, who was looking for a move away.

However, Mitchell went crazy when he heard about the trade. Not because of who was in it, but rather who wasn’t. When he found out that Darius Garland, Kevin Love, Evan Mobley, and Jarret Allen weren’t included in the deal, he was ecstatic. And he then went screaming around the golf course.

The Cavs ensured that they did not give away the stars of the future and they got Mitchell as well. The Cavs have now three all-stars from last year and a potential superstar in Evan Mobley. They still have Kevin Love and Caris LeVert, along with Issac Okoro and Ricky Rubio.

The Cavs have arguably one of the best starting 5 in the league right now. They will have to figure out how to integrate Mitchell into the lineup. But regardless of that, the Cavs pulled the trigger on the biggest move in the NBA this offseason and they are looking dangerous. The East just got itself a new contender and Mitchell will be raring to go for the Cavs.
