The Kanye West and Kim Kardashian issue has been one of the most trending topics this year. Eminent voices around the world have chimed in on the debate and offered their two cents. Recently, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas talked about Kanye West paying his ex-wife $200,000 in child support. Arenas, furthermore, doesn’t see the point in doing so.

According to him, the two celebrities are billionaires and they will be present as a father and a mother to their children. As a result, there is no point in Kanye paying child support to Kim Kardashian.

Former NBA star talks about Kanye West paying huge amounts to Kim

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been in the limelight for the entirety of the year. They had a steady relationship for some time before it all went downhill for the superstar couple.

Their divorce was finalized on 2nd March 2022. According to various reports around the world, West will be paying $200,000 in the form of child support to Kardashian.

Gilbert Arenas doesn’t see the logic behind this. During a recent interview, the former Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies star touched upon the much-talked-about divorce and Kim’s child support.

Arenas said, “When it comes to the child support in those two, its like, what does she need the $200,000 for? You know he’s gonna be there as a father, she’s a billionaire, and he’s a billionaire. What’s the point?”

He also added how Kim makes ‘too much money’ in order to be asking for child support. The couple has 4 kids, North, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm after 8 years of marriage. Kanye’s child support will cover the children’s security, schooling, and college as they will be spending the majority of their time with Kim Kardashian.

West is no longer a billionaire following controversial comments

Kanye West’s antics on social media have landed him in trouble more often than not. In this instance, his outburst cost him his place on the billionaire’s list.

He made some anti-Semitic comments recently which urged corporations around the world to cut their ties with him. Adidas ended the Yeezy apparel deal after West’s comments which cost him around $1.5 billion out of his $2 billion net worth. The rapper currently has a net worth of $400 million according to Forbes.
