Over the last couple of weeks, a potential buyout rumor between the Detroit Pistons and Blake Griffin was going around the rumor mill. Well, it turns out that was not just a rumor after all. Griffin and the Pistons agreed to a buyout yesterday, making Blake a free agent.

With the buyout taking place, it means that a contending team from either conference can come in and recruit him to their team. Additionally, he just got a huge sum of money, thanks to the buyout. Thus, Blake Griffin will most likely sign a veteran’s contract this season, at the very least.

As expected, the top dogs in the league are all looking for Griffin’s signature right now. But which team can benefit the most from adding the veteran forward to their team? Well, the Lakers could use a player like him to fill the void left by Anthony Davis.

As for the Nets, they are in also in need of a reliable player who can take over the game in the Big 3’s absence. Apart from those two sides, the Warriors still need a power forward with Kelly Oubre Jr and Andrew Wiggins still settling in the team.
