According to the NBA, one member of the coaching staff and several players of the Mavericks team encroached on the playing area at Chase Center on multiple occasions during the game.

The match was a close contest. The Mavericks entered the game determined to level the series after a blowout loss in game 1.

As a result, the Mavericks started playing with intent and maintained a healthy double-digit lead in the first half of the game. At halftime, they were up by 14 points.
