“While the Lakers Have No Wins”: NBA World Dumbfounded As Underdogs Utah Jazz Exceed Expectations with Perfect Start to the Season

What is going on in the league? That’s probably what NBA fans want to know the most. While the Los Angeles Lakers are losing every game they are playing, the Utah Jazz, 0n the other hand, are shutting down their trolls with their impressive performance on the court. Fans are baffled as they had not expected such a    performance from the Jazz. At the same time, the Lakers can’t seem to live up to people’s expectations.

The Los Angeles Lakers faced the Portland Trail Blazers on their third game of NBA season 22-23. The game turned out to be a major disappointment due to a botched shot made by Russell Westbrook. The Trail Blazers defeated the Lakers 106-104, marking their third straight loss.

While the Lakers are yet to win a game, the Utah Jazz on the other hand smashing their opponents one after the other. The Jazz played their opening game against the Denver Nuggets on October 20, 2022. The team turned it into a ‘Jazz Night’ as they beat the Nuggets by a vast difference of 123-102. They then faced the New Orleans Pelicans after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves by 132-126.

Their game against the New Orleans Pelicans took place at the Smoothie King Center on October 24. Although it was a close call, the Jazz yet again emerged victorious by 122-121.

NBA fans dumbfounded after watching the Utah Jazz perform better than the Lakers

NBA star Lauri Markkanen led the Utah Jazz to victory scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds, and two assists. Fellow teammate Kelly Olynyk added 20 points with five assists and three rebounds. Additionally, Jordan Clarkson too averaged 18 points, six assists and one rebound. While Pelicans stars CJ McCollum and Zion Williamson had a combined score of 53 points, it proved to be insufficient to secure a win.

Fans on the other hand are finding it hard to understand the Lakers’ poor performance. It didn’t take long for the Twitterati to compare the Jazz to the Lakers as both the teams seems to have managed to shock the NBA fans. Let’s take a look at some of the tweets.

While there’s still a majority of the season left, if the Jazz continue to go on in this pace, they might just have a shot at the NBA title. Whereas, the Lakers might have to work harder just to make it to the playoffs.
