The journey to the NBA finals gets closer as one spot remains up for grabs. Both the Celtics and Heat are battling it out in a waiting Game 6 to fight for their dream. However, at the end of the day, there can be only one winner. And NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley picked the Celtics to be the winners of this series. However, to everyone’s shock, he also believes the 16-time champions are going to add another championship to their cabinet this season and beat the Golden State Warriors in the finals.

From Bill Russell to Larry Bird, the legacy of the Boston Celtics is solidified with great winners. Sharing the throne with the Lakers for the most championships, Boston is desperate to take the lead. And this season they have the chance of a lifetime. After a tough start to their ECF journey, the Celtics rallied back and took a commanding 3-2 lead. With the chance to close the show out in the Garden, they will not want to look any further.

Surprisingly, Barkley feels the Celtics have this series in the bag anyway. Furthermore, they are also going to win the NBA championship, according to Chuck.

Charles Barkley has the Celtics over the Warriors

Bakley has been one of the most popular faces during the NBA playoffs. As a part of the Inside the NBA crew, he is always making bold predictions. But this time, he went all the way to the end. Right before the Warriors wiped the Mavericks’ season away, Chuck said that the Celtics are the best team in these playoffs. And not only will they beat Miami, but also take the Larry 0’Brien Trophy home this season.

He said: “Without Herro, the Heat are not gonna beat the Celtics,” Barkley said. “The Celtics are gonna win that series, and not only that, the Celtics are gonna win the world championship. Because they are the best team remaining in the playoffs right now, in my opinion.”

Saying this outside a San Francisco crowd packed with Warriors fans didn’t do Barkley great. However, he has picked a fight with them all throughout the Western Conference. While he may have said it many times to rub it in; the Celtics are making a serious case for themselves. Despite being down in the series, Boston picked things up and caught Miami by surprise. They kept Butler, one of the top players in these playoffs, to under 10 points in 2 of the last 3 games. In addition, they could burn down Miami’s offense without DPOY Marcus Smart in the lineup.

Young Jayson Tatum has been phenomenal in the series and will look to see the Celtics through in Game 6. Do you think Boston will win their 17th title this season?
