LeBron James is one of the leading athletes in the world. Despite being 37 years old, the King has not slowed down with his performances. He is leading the league in scoring and is constantly making history along the way. After becoming the first man to have 10k points, 10k rebounds, and 10 k assists, James passed yet another milestone. He took over Karl Malone on the all-time scoring list and became the second-leading scorer in history. While it got little attention, an NBA legend believes it is one of the most underrated achievements in sports history.

LeBron has been the sole consistent performer on the Lakers this season. While his team is the 10th seed, James is on top of his game. Averaging 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, the King has not missed a beat. Recently, he put on a show going back to Cleveland with a 38 point triple-double. While the Cavaliers did lose the game against James, they did not forget to congratulate their best player. They displayed his achievement of passing up Karl Malone on the big screen.

LeBron James keeps making history

Recently, Webber made an appearance on the Rich Elsen show. He spoke about the Lakers and the King. There were questions if LeBron is really enjoying his time, and Webber believes James isn’t lying. He said: “He has to have the time of his life because he knows time is fleeting. One, I think the most underrated story in sports is that he passed Karl Malone.” Webber continued saying, “Yes in a true argument I would say well it hasn’t been broken because other guys couldn’t come in until they were 22 and they played more games. We can say all of that, ut what he has just done is the most incredible thing that we’ve ever seen.”

Webber goes on to speak about how James has even created clubs that only have his name on it. It really is astonishing to see the King break all limits at the time most players hang up their boots. His reach for the sky is still going strong as he keeps soaring ahead in history. With just 1600 points keeping him and Kareem apart, there is almost no doubt James will take over with the pace he is going at. His longevity is still yet to be seen in the league. In addition, he is still a hungry winner.

Is the King set for GOAT status?

While James may not have the most championships under his belt, the Akron Hammer has made history all around. He has won four regular-season MVPs and was a leading defensive candidate in his prime. In addition, he has four championships and 4 finals MVPs under his name as well.

Amassing over 36000 points through his career, James has proved himself to be one of the most lethal scorers. He got a lot of slander for saying he could lead the league in scoring whenever he wants. However, this season the King has pushed the boundaries and is playing at the next level. If he goes on to become the leading scorer and add another championship, there aren’t many resumes that could challenge the Akron Hammer.
