It has been four years since LeBron James last enjoyed a ring ceremony. The King’s last championship triumph came in 2016, before he snapped the drought by winning the 2020 title.  As a tradition, the Lakers will go ahead with the ring presenting ceremony on the opening night, and James has bittersweet feelings about the occasion. 

For starters, the ceremony will be especially exciting for Laker fans. The team will receive the rings from NBA’s commissioner Adam Silver, but in front of arch-rivals LA Clippers. 

However, this will also be the first-ever NBA ring ceremony in history where there won’t be any fans in attendance. This is certainly a let down, as one needs no reminder about the electric atmosphere that would have prevailed if fans were present in the arena.

LeBron James is truly the most deserving player on the Lakers’ roster to be bestowed with the sparkling ring. King James put up a monstrous performance in the NBA finals with his partner in crime, Anthony Davis, as the duo combined to spoil their opponents’ party. 

LeBron and the Lakers will be presented with stunningly crafted rings owing to their achievements in the NBA bubble. The management has gone ahead with hosting the ceremony on the new season’s opening night and LeBron James is thrilled as well as gutted!

This will indeed be a special night for LeBron, as it will be his first ring as a Laker. Emotions will play a big part too, as the team will remember the late Kobe Bryant during the ceremony. 

The team vowed to do it at the beginning of the year when news about Kobe’s death shook the world. They made it happen in the most difficult of circumstances, and the entire team dedicated their victory to an icon who spent 20 years of his life breaking his blood, sweat, and tears for the purple and gold.
