Currently, the Hornets are struggling to maintain their play in tournament position. Statistically, the team is on even terms with their opponent in almost every aspect. As they hold their opponent to 114.8 points per game while averaging 114.9 points themselves. The Hornets are averaging an opponent field goal percentage slightly more than their own field goal percentage.

It’s quite understandable that the team needs defensive support. Though adding a veteran will help guide the young guys like LaMelo and Bridges next season. As both the youngsters make a good duo.

Kemba is currently averaging 11 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds a game. While in his previous season with the Hornets, Walker performed significantly better. Though, the addition of yet another guard will not help the Hornets next season.

As the team is lacking in defense, a better option would be to introduce a new rim protector. Given that Walker will have another year left on his contract after this season, a trade is the only option to move Kemba to the Hornets.
