The Utah Jazz has been the brightest team in the Western Conference aside from the obvious favorites. The team has established a strong start, which is working well in their favor. As Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert look to extend their winning run, they once again take on the Dallas Mavericks to complete their mini-series.

Utah is a team on a mission this season, and their game is just incredible. There seems to be no rift between teammates, and they’re early favorites to cause an upset in the West. Rudy Gobert is thriving with his game, and Mitchell has been sensational, despite all the negativity. 

Moreover, their roster isn’t drastically affected by injuries. They have Trent Forrest and Elijah Hughes sidelined against the Mavs, but Mitchell and Derrick Favors will probably make a comeback to the court.

The Dallas Mavericks aren’t enjoying their campaign quite as much. The team has lost their previous three games and would look to bounce back against the Jazz on Friday. Luka Doncic has been filling the stat sheet, but the Mavs are struggling to make a mark early in the season. 

Maxi Kleber will not be a part of the roster against Utah, as he’s been ruled out due to health and safety protocols. However, Dallas should improve their defense to complement their strong offensive system in order to win more games.

Prediction

The Utah Jazz has the upper hand in this fixture, having beaten the Mavs a couple of days ago. It will obviously boost the team’s momentum going into the game, and they have a chance to make it a 2-0 sweep.

Utah is flying high on talent and as such the team’s overall confidence is also high. Every asset is providing the required input that is helping the team stay consistent. Unless Doncic and Porzingis fire big in the returning fixture, we’ve got the Jazz winning this one!
