The Milwaukee Bucks host the Atlanta Hawks in the fifth game of the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals. This game is scheduled for 8:30 PM EST and will be played in the Fiserv Forum.

After a disappointing loss in game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks, the Bucks looked pretty comfortable in game 2 and 3. With dominant victories, Giannis and Co. led the series 2-1. Game 4 looked set to be a victory for the Bucks with Hawks’ talisman Trae Young out with injury. But game 4 was a pretty disappointing match-day for the Bucks.

Despite missing Young, the Hawks were pretty dominant and led Milwaukee through the third quarter. But superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered from a rather scary knee injury and Milwaukee understandably lost the game. With the series all tied up, the Bucks and the Hawks series is pretty much balanced. Can the Bucks win this series despite their injuries?

The Hawks meanwhile have been the true underdog in this season’s playoffs. With a team without a single All-Star, the Hawks pulled off a massive upset against the 76ers in the second round. Against the Bucks, Atlanta have shown their resolve once again.

Despite being down 2-1, the Hawks made a massive statement with a comeback win and tied the series 2-2. But with the next game being played at Milwaukee, the Hawks will have to bring their ‘A-game’ given the uncertainty surrounding Trae Young’s injury. Can the Hawks win this pivotal game 5 and take control of the series?

Predictions

This series between the Hawks and the Bucks has been an absolute nail-biter of a series so far. With both the teams tied at 2-2, a win in the upcoming game is a must for both the teams if they want to join the Suns in the Finals.

Given that the Bucks have home court advantage, and both the superstars in Giannis and Trae Young uncertain for game 5, Milwaukee might just have the advantage in this matchup with the star power of Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton.
