The LA Clippers take on the Indiana Pacers in an inter-conference match. The Clippers have started the season off very well and they have a 9-4 record in the NBA, right behind their rivals, the Lakers. Paul George has been in spectacular form and is already getting MVP considerations. New additions Serge Ibaka and Nicolas Batum have also been positive for them.
The Pacers, however, have been flying under the radar. Indiana has put up good performances throughout the season and has an 8-4 record. The team has been playing well, especially players like Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis who have stepped up big time. And with Victor Oladipo traded, they received Caris LeVert in exchange as part of a four-team trade deal.
With that in mind, let us like at both teams going into the game.
The Clippers are almost at full strength. Lou Williams is listed as questionable for the game. However, he is expected to be fit to come off the bench for them. The Clippers have their best players in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George fully fit and playing some of their best basketball. LA will be confident about their chances going into the game.
Predicted Lineup: Patrick Beverley, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Nicolas Batum, Serge Ibaka
The Pacers, on the other hand, have had poor luck with injuries. New addition, Caris LeVert, is out indefinitely due to a non-injury related medical concern. The Pacers are also without TJ Warren, Jeremy Lamb, and other depth players. However, Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, and Domantas Sabonis are fit and expected to start the game for the Pacers.
Predicted Lineup: Malcolm Brogdon, Edmond Summer, Justin Holiday, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner
The Clippers are in good form right now, having won their last three games. But the Pacers also have a great deal of momentum coming into the game. They defeated the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers in their own homes, a tough task to achieve when on a road trip.
This game seems evenly matched with both teams playing some of their best basketball of the season. However, the Clippers are just too good with Paul George playing at an MVP level.
Prediction: The LA Clippers defeat the Indiana Pacers in a tight game that goes down to the wire.
Who will win between the Clippers and the Pacers? Both teams have reason to believe they can walk out with the victory. But it will be a challenge for whoever wins. One thing is certain – it will be a great game between two in-form teams.
