The Brooklyn Nets face off against the Denver Nuggets, led by MVP candidate Nikola Jokic, tonight at 10 PM EST.

The Brooklyn Nets are arguably one of the most dominant teams in the league right now. Despite having two out of their big three in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Nets uncharacteristically have lost four games in a row. With defeats at the hands of the Blazers, Bucks and the Mavs, the Nets are far behind the top seeded 76ers now and are under tremendous pressure as Giannis and the Bucks are also only half a game away from clinching the second seed. The Nets have to turn this around now and win rest of their games.

The Nuggets, who had a great victory against the Knicks, lost their most recent game at the hands of the Utah Jazz, 127-120. Despite decent performances from Jokic and Michael Porter Jr., the Nuggets simply had no answer for Jazz’ Bojan Bogdanovic, who dropped a 48-point bomb. With their recent losses, the Nuggets are looking highly unlikely to challenge the Clippers for the third spot and might have to settle for the fourth seed in the West.

Predictions

The Nets might be on four game losing streak, but there is no denying the star quality Durant and Irving bring to the team. This, coupled with the inconsistent form the Nuggets have been in, the Nets have a slight edge in this match-up.

Brooklyn Nets injury updates and lineup prediction

The Nets have some injury issues ahead of their game against the Nuggets. Guards Spencer Dinwiddie and Chris Chiozza are out with a knee and a hand injury, respectively. Superstar James Harden is still out indefinitely as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
