Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James’ longevity is unparalleled. Over the course of his career, he has played consistently and delivered results as well. Even though he has turned 36-years-old this season, the King is yet to miss a game this season.
With Anthony Davis sidelined due to a calf injury, James is putting in extra minutes. But playing 40+ minutes regularly can take a toll on any player’s body. The same is the case with LeBron James and it was quite evident against the Washington Wizards.
While James gave his best in the game, he looked exhausted in the game, which went until overtime. Because of James’ added minutes, fans are concerned that the King might get injured.

Despite James playing 43 minutes against the Wizards, LA was narrowly defeated in overtime. Former NBA player and current analyst Jalen Rose shared his thoughts on LBJ playing so many minutes. He said:

“He played every game this season, he only had 71 days off after the Lakers won the championship. I know his love for the game and his consistency throughout his career has been outstanding. And I’m now glad he also has embraced this role of not being a fan of load management.

The Lakers need to figure out a way to take some load off of LBJ until Davis returns. Otherwise, they are running a risk of him getting injured and losing their best player.
