Golden State Warriors vs Indiana Pacers – Injury Updates and Lineups

Warriors

The Dubs have been on a good run recently, owing to their back-to-back victories against LA Clippers and Toronto Raptors. However, they still rely on Steph Curry to fire for them every single night, which should change in the upcoming games.

As for their injury concerns, the Warriors don’t have any new casualties on the sidelined list. Klay Thompson is out, followed by Alen Smailagic, and Marquese Chriss. The rest are healthy and look to establish a winning mentality back into the team.

Possible lineup

Steph Curry (G)

Andrew Wiggins (G)

Kelly Oubre Jr. (F)

Draymond Green (F)

James Wiseman (C)

Pacers

Indiana got off to a terrific start to their 2021 campaign by posting three successive wins. A set of mixed results and two recent losses have deterred their confidence, but Nate Bjorkgren’s men love taking on challenges.

As they get set to take on the Golden State challenge, the team is hindered by a few injuries. For starters, the best player on the team Victor Oladipo is put on the day-to-day evaluation list and is questionable for the game, along with Jalen Lecque.

Moreover, they have five other players who are out against the Warriors. T.J. McConnell, Brain Bowen II, Jeremy Lamb, T.J. Warren, and Goga Bitadze make up that list.

Possible Lineup

Malcolm Brogdon (G)

Aaron Holiday (G)

Victor Oladipo (F)

Domantas Sabonis (F)

Myles Turner (C)

Prediction

This will indeed be an exciting match between two offensively strong teams. Oladipo and his men would look to break out of their slump at the Warriors’ expense. Brogdon has been a spectacular talent to watch so far, and he will be expected to lead the charge against the Dubs.

The problem with the Warriors is inconsistency. Steph Curry is humanely doing everything he can, but the other players on the roster are less-reliable. While Draymond Green is doing an effective job, he’s yet to take over as the second-best scorer on the team.

Considering what we’ve seen from both teams so far, it looks like the Indiana Pacers will soar to victory in this one. Their crucial tactic is to allow very little space for Curry which would limit the Warriors’ offense. Hence, we’re going with a road victory for the Pacers.
