The superstar duo has been playing together for the Los Angeles Lakers since 2019 and led the team to the franchise’s 17th championship title in 2020. However, the relationship between the two was repeatedly questioned after King James became the new All-Time Scoring Leader. Thus began the circulation of several rumors that were finally shut down by LeBron himself with a little help from Jay Z and Kanye West.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been gradually climbing up the ladder, thus moving one step closer to the playoffs. In contrast to their rough beginning, the Lakers are seemingly having a good run as the league prepares for the postseason. The Lakers recently defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder and won their third straight game in LeBron James‘ absence. The 19x NBA All-Star has been on the sidelines since February 26 due to a foot injury.

LeBron James sends out a strong message to the NBA world

Saturday night’s Lakers game against the OKC Thunder took place at the former’s home court in LA. Among the attendees present in the arena was LeBron James. Following the Lakers’ win, James took to his Instagram handle to put an end to the feud rumors between him and Anthony Davis. He posted a video of him and AD with the song “No Church In The Wild” by Jay Z and Kanye West playing in the background. In the short clip, Davis and James were seen doing a handshake and having a fun conversation on the sidelines as fans took pictures of them.

In the caption, LeBron wrote, “To A Non Believer!!!! YEAAAAAHHHH WOE!! We here all the chatter going on behind our backs but then they wanna smile in our faces when they see us!! Man BEAT IT!! Keep cooking they a***s !”

The rumor first began when fans saw Anthony Davis sitting in silence while the entire arena joined in to celebrate LeBron James’ record-breaking moment. Recently, AD gave his take on the ongoing speculations during an interview with Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

He said, “Me and Bron have one of the best relationships I think in the NBA as far as duos or teammates, regardless. But they don’t see that. They don’t see the stuff we do off the court and time we hang out with each other. They see on-court stuff.”
