Players need time to get back in touch after an injury. However, with Los Angeles Lakers guard, Talen Horton Tucker, that did not seem like the case. He was in rhythm in his first two games after returning from injury. However, ever since LeBron James made his return, it seems Horton Tucker has lost his touch. Now, his struggle was clear against the New York Knicks as fans trolled the guard.

Horton Tucker made a name for himself last season as a young talent. The Lakers did everything to keep him during the Russell Westbrook trade and he proved why once he came back. But the youngster has gone cold in the last three games, failing to score in double digits even once.

After coming off a 25 point performance, fans had confidence in Horton Tucker’s abilities. However, things did not go as expected from there on out. While the return of LeBron did take a toll on his shots, Horton Tucker couldn’t seem to make any as he went 0-6 against the Boston Celtics. Now, a stat shows that the 20 YO has accumulated more fouls than he has scored points in his last three games.

The young Lakers guard came into the Knicks game scoring a combined 10 points in his last two games. While LeBron’s suspension gave him the starting role, Horton Tucker failed to show up. He failed to add to his tally of points, failing to make a single shot. But, he picked up 3 personal fouls and took his tally to 11 in the last three games, which is more than the points he has scored.

While the guard did start off hot, it seems like the injury is getting to him right now. Often players don’t return the same after an injury and that could be the case with THT. However, looking at his first two games, that doesn’t seem likely. It could simply be that he isn’t feeling his shot and hence, is struggling to score despite being a talented scorer.

Whatever the problem may be, the Lakers will hope for him to get back to himself soon. After the loss to the Knicks, the Lakers have fallen to a 9-10 record for the season. As THT’s contributions could be a make or break for the purple and gold from here on out, he needs to put his best foot forward. Do you think Horton Tucker will make a statement in his next game?
