Another All-Star bites the dust as Giannis Antetokounmpo goes down with an apparent wrist injury. The Milwaukee Bucks were facing the Chicago Bulls when Antetokounmpo sustained an injury to his wrist. The Bucks star could be seen clutching his right hand after he took a serious fall while on defense. Antetokounmpo headed straight to the locker room and did not return which has left fans with little hope of seeing him on the All-Star weekend.

Giannis Antetokounmpo took a hit on his wrist while on defense during the second quarter of the game. He challenged Bulls guard Coby White on a layup, going for a chase-down block. Antetokounmpo lost his footing as White stopped under the rim and both ended up hitting the floor.

‘The Greek Freak’ was evidently in a lot of pain as his teammates helped him up off the floor. Antetokounmpo kept clutching his right wrist while he was walking towards the Bucks bench and the team’s training staff.

After this injury to Antetokounmpo, many fans are wondering what the outcome of the upcoming All-Star game would be. As Giannis is the sixth perennial All-Star to go down with an injury before the game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s injury adds to the list of injured All-Stars before the upcoming All-Star game. Recently, the latest addition to the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant, sustained an injury and will be hoping to make a comeback after the break.

Stephen Curry was another player who had been ruled out of the All-Star game after an injury to his lower left leg. Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans too has been ruled out for the game.

So, it is understandable why the injury to Antetokounmpo became such a bummer for fans. Also because Antetokounmpo became the Bucks’ all-time leader in assists, surpassing Paul Pressey for the most career assists in Bucks history.
